Buckle

Yumi has moved on from fitting keys into holes to now buckling. So here you have a run of the mill fanny pack that Yumi one day grabbed from the closet, and instantly latched onto. She spent the better part of an hour buckling and bringing it to me to unbuckle. Every time she motioned for me to unbuckle it, I placed her fingers on the respective parts to practice hand over hand squeezing to unfasten it. She has yet to master unbuckling, but is still very intrigued with the skill of it all. Amazon.com sells “busy boards” fitted with zippers, snaps, buckles, laces, and the works for little kiddos if you’re looking for an all-in-one deal, but items with these aspects can more times than not be found around the house!
