Lock & Key

A Montessori staple. Yumi took an interest in locks at around 18 months old. So I grabbed this one from our local home improvement store and she was easily entertained for the better half of an hour her first go at it! This type of work requires a great deal of focus and offers good practice in hand eye coordination, fine motor skill, and wrist work! It proved to be a bit of a challenge for her in the beginning, but she quickly took to practicing daily, working through her frustration.
